Square Trade, a protection plan provider, has performed a drop test to determine the strength of iPad 3, iPad Mini and Nexus 7. A special apparatus was used to drop three tablets from its 4 ft position. Then, for approximately 10-seconds the tablets were sunk into a container filled with water.
